There are lots of reasons why childcare practitioners might decide to incorporate multicultural resources into your centre’s practice. Maybe Chinese New Year is coming up. Or a new child has joined your centre whose parents are Afghani.
The key reason for most of us is that we want to create positive learning environments for the children in our care, environments which are positive, which support diversity and encourage mutual understanding. We are responsible for creating little citizens of the world – no small task!
